The 7th AMI international conference, Waterproof Membranes 2013, will take place at the Hotel Nikko in Düsseldorf, Germany from 10-12 December 2013 in time for the Christmas markets. The event starts with an evening Welcome Cocktail Reception on 10th for all delegates followed by a 2-day programme.
With global warming, the building of reservoirs and environmental management with geomembranes is an expanding industry. At the same time, the large, flat surfaces of industrial roofs are now viewed as potential energy generating plants, or green space with roof gardens. This all places greater demands on the waterproof membrane structure in terms of weathering and durability and the manufacturing industry is rising to the challenges. In fact, with lighter colour the membrane can also enhance its function by reflecting light for energy production or for cooling the building.
Waterproof Membranes 2013 provides a global forum for all companies involved in waterproofing, including end-users, specifiers, architects, civil engineers, expert installers, manufacturers, researchers, and suppliers to the industry. The conference provides a debating forum around the latest technology in membranes and the extensive potential on offer to the building and civil engineering industry.
